Letting Go of the Pleated Skirt: On Uniforms and Catholic Girlhood

My first published article for Milk Room, reflecting on Catholic school uniforms as symbols of identity, conformity, and girlhood. I blend personal narrative with cultural and historical research, examining how clothing shapes memory, community, and the ways young women learn to express themselves within and beyond institutional expectations.
